Sadya
Mathanga curry
Pumpkin in coconut gravy — a sweet, everyday Kerala vegetable curry.
About
Mathanga curry cooks yellow pumpkin with coconut, chilli, and cumin until the pieces soften into a mildly sweet gravy. It is a home lunch curry and a simpler pumpkin plate than erissery, which adds cowpeas and roasted coconut.
