Paramekkavu Bhagavathy Temple is one of Kerala's largest Bhagavathy temples, standing near Thekkinkadu Maidan. Together with Thiruvambadi it forms the famous Pooram rivalry of processions, elephants, and percussion around Vadakkunnathan.
