Parayan Thullal

The third classical Thullal form, completing Kunchan Nambiar’s satirical trio.

About

Parayan Thullal is the third of Kunchan Nambiar’s Thullal forms, alongside Ottan and Seethankan. It uses its own poetic metre and visual style while keeping the core idea: one dancer-narrator delivering sharp, humorous social commentary through dance and song. It is presented in the same festival and classical-arts circuits as the other Thullal types.
